World champion Joshua in solitary confinement after meeting with Prince Charles

Joshua self-isolation

Anthony Joshua, the world heavyweight boxing champion, has put himself in self-isolation after a meeting with the coronavirus survivor Prince Charles.

Chales, the eldest son and heir to Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, is exhibiting moderate coronavirus symptoms and is isolating himself in Scotland, officials said on Wednesday. It is unknown when Charles contracted the disease, but on March 9, he spent the day at Westminster Abbey's Commonwealth Day service with the Queen, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and stars of sport and entertainment — including Joshua. Joshua is set to defend his heavyweight IBF, WBA and WBO titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev at TottenhamHotspur Stadium on 20 June. But the coronavirus could postpone that bout and move back to the earliest of next year with a highly awaited all-British clash with WBC champion Tyson Fury.
